Sample A · published patent

In one embodiment the cradle is sized to the sensor module. A flexible tab engages the module edge and releases under finger pressure. The tab may be molded with the base.

Sample B · published application

The frame holds the housing on two side walls. Opposed detents retain the housing against vibration. Each detent is formed on one side wall.

What PatentSmart will never do.

  • File your patent.

Only you or a registered patent attorney or agent can do that.

  • Tell you whether you can get a patent.

That’s your attorney’s call. Your packet helps them make it.

  • Sell or share your invention.

It stays private to your account and is never used to train AI. It goes only to the services that build your packet, and never to an attorney or anyone else unless you send it. Delete it anytime.

  • Promise you a patent.

Anyone who does is selling you something.

  1. Is PatentSmart a law firm?

No. It’s software that helps you organize your invention and read what’s already published. Using it doesn’t make anyone your lawyer. For advice, bring your packet to a registered patent attorney or agent.

  2. Will PatentSmart tell me if I can get a patent?

No, and be wary of anyone who says they can from a quick search. Your packet quotes the closest published patents we found, so your attorney can start there.

  3. How is this different from a patent search?

A search hands you a list of patents. Your packet starts with your invention, written clearly with a labeled drawing, then quotes the closest patents and the passages that matter. Built for the meeting, not the rabbit hole.

  4. Is my idea safe here?

Your invention stays private to your account. We never sell it or use it to train AI. It goes only to the services that build your packet, and never to an attorney or anyone else unless you send it. Delete it anytime; backups clear within 30 days.

  5. I’ve already shown or sold it. Is that a problem?

Tell your attorney soon. Your packet records when you first showed, sold or published it, because it’s one of the first things they’ll ask.

  6. I don’t have a patent attorney yet.

That’s fine. The USPTO keeps a public list of registered patent attorneys and agents. Your packet works with any of them.

  7. Is PatentSmart part of the USPTO?

No. PatentSmart isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by the USPTO. We search published patent records, which are public.

Your invention deserves a clear first page.
